| Feeding Instructions | You must use the larvae within 10 days of delivery. Each delivery contains 7 days of feed and a daily portion of larvae is 10g per bird. Bantams and young birds can safely have 10g. Larger breeds can be fed up to 20g per day at your discretion. Dispense the larvae into the lid provided and weigh out a daily portion. |

I thought I would give these a go to see what they would make of the live worms. At first they didn’t know what to make of them but has you can see from the videos they soon loved them! Audrey is such a greedy pig and always tries to make herself bigger to stop the others from getting at the treats! Discovering ECOnourish and its Calci Worms has been so beneficial to my small flock. My white Sussex, Daisy was quite poorly when I placed my first order in June. Her transformation was truly remarkable. Her feathers grew back, her appetite improved but most importantly, she became a happy hen again. Although her tumour was terminal, she spent her last 4 months enjoying life.

I needed to share how impressed I am with @econourish.superfood black soldier fly larvae for hens. I discovered them through @mad4hens post about them. All my chickens love them, but where they’ve really made the difference is in inspiring poorly Selene to eat again! Selene is an ex caged bird. She suffered something sudden and neurological a few weeks back and I found her unable to use her legs and unable to see anything. She showed me a will to live though. On a course of steroids, she is gradually recovering the use of her legs and I believe she can now see from her left eye but not her right. She drinks by herself but despite being hugely enthusiastic about receiving syringe feeds, was not interested in feeding herself. Until I sprinkled black soldier fly larvae onto her mash – then all of a sudden there was no stopping her! Her depth perception is wonky and there’s a lot of stabbing to find them, but honestly this product has saved her life as I don’t have time to keep hand feeding twice a day forever so I was facing a difficult decision. Now she has another chance at life as I can be confident that she will eat something even when I’m not there. Hurrah!

I bought these black fly soldier larvae after my hens went through a heavy moult and at 25 weeks they still weren’t laying despite being winter layers. After just 2 weeks on them my cream legbar started laying on 2nd January. My Faverolles combs have now gone very red and Speckled Sussex also. They now wait at the door end of the run for me every day at 1 pm I can barely get in the run for their excitement! It fills my heart to see such enjoyment and nutrition for my girls. Looking forward to see how these help the two rescue hens from BHWT I will collect this weekend.

Caviar for chickens well worth it
This is a wonderful treat to feed your hens with as if done daily their health positively glows. Eco nourish has resulted in my birds moulting faster, growing shiny, new feathers and blossoming red combs they look a picture of health despite the winter wet and cold, I’m sure Eco nourish is the factor behind this as my hens are elderly birds. It’s great to know this a sustainable product and the packaging is all recyclable. My hens act like this is caviar and wait for their supper of it each afternoon, well worth it.

I have been looking to source an eco friendly but also budget friendly live food for my Rankin’s dragons.
I was spending more money for about 1/10th the amount of worms from another supplier. The worms were tiny. The ones from Eco Nourish are huge and juicy and you get so much for your money. The container is also recyclable but is also much nicer to have around instead of clear plastic containers that you can see into.
